Actress Uche Jumbo Survives Car Crash

Uche Jumbo's damaged FJ Cruiser
The incident occurred late last night, Friday June 24, around 12 midnight. The FJ Cruiser which was being driven by the actress hit another car head-on along the Lekki/Chevron area of Lagos. Fortunately, no lives were lost. But Uche had to go to the hospital, though she's since returned home. May God be praised.
In this latest interview( conducted on the 25th of June, 2011), Uche Jumbo narrates how the accident happens . Read it Below..
Uche, we heard that you had an accident, what happened?
Yes my sister, I do have an accident, a very fatal one. The guy I almost collided with was driving on a high speed; he did not know the road very well; he thought that the road was straight road, but actually the road was a sharp bend. When I saw his light and the speed he was coming with directly straight at me, I swerved to the other direction while he swerved to the other side, as I veered off I lost total control of my car and the car was going like…360. I can’t remember how I managed to came out but I came out on my own. The guy’s Range Rover sport is totally written-off right now and mine is also damaged. In fact, the accident just happened by my house and I know the curve very well.
How about the guy, we hope he did not die?
Nothing happened to him, not even a scratch. The only thing is that it took them a while to get him out of his car, his airbag came out though but his car was locked, but when they finally brought him out he was ok. The bottom line was that I actually saved his life, because if I did not do what I did he was actually driving at a very bad speed at a sharp bend and he would have hit something big and died. So doing what I did saved his life.
How are you doing?
Apart from the shock, I’m ok, I hit my head somewhere and have done a CPU scan, the result shows there was no damage to my brain. The result was out today and everything is ok. I haven’t been on the net to tweet to my fans that I’m fine, because I’m still in shock. I’ll still give myself one or two days and then come online.
When did this happen?
Last night
Were you returning home from somewhere or driving out of your home?
I was coming back from Civic center where I was invited to LG Cinema Smart TV lunch. I wasn’t the only one that was invited; I was there, KOK, Stephanie Okereke, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, Kalu Ikeagwu, Ebere Okalu, and many others were also there. That was where I was coming from; I was even rushing because I was meant to fly out to Abuja the next day for the UN event we are holding there. I even left on time before most people; Chioma was still in her car when I drove off and horned, that was why she nearly fainted when she heard the news.
(Cut in) when we heard the news I almost fainted, too.
I know they will be writing the things they don’t know as usual. Like someone said they are sure I was coming from a night club, people are bad.
It’s a public function where everybody was invited, if you do not know where someone is coming from you don’t need to suggest, just leave the report, you don’t need to write it.
You know that’s why we always call to find out first before writingWe wishes you God’s protection.
Thank you my sister, thanks for calling.
