Bet you don’t know that Dame (DR) Patience Good luck Jonathan is a graduate of Biology/Psychology from University of Port Harcourt, she also taught at the world famous Steller Maris College, Port Harcourt. The dazzling daughter of Chief and Mrs. Lazarus Iwari-Oba is a mother of two children. In a recent interview, she tells her love story with the president of the most populous black nation in the world. Excerpt from the interview; How did you met your husband? We first met at the Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt where I was a student. He was my Biology lecturer.Later; he left for university of Port Harcourt to pursue his PhD. We met again at the University of Port Harcourt when I went for undergraduate degree. That was where our relationship began. He took interest in me because I was a brilliant and smart student. It was love at first sight on his part. But it never crossed my mind that it would lead to a serious relationship. My first impression of him was ‘this tall, dark, hansome young man”. Further interaction with him also revealed that he came from a good Christian home just like I did. His humble and gentle disposition caught my attention and most importantly, his intelligence. What endearing trait did he have that convinced you that he was the one for you? As I said earlier, what attracted me to him was that he was God-fearing, handsome, intelligent, calm and humble. Do you believe in the adage that says behind every successful man is a woman? Yes, but I will say beside every successful man is a woman just as beside every successful woman there is a man. Men and Women are to complement each other. That is the way God made it. Are there things you still like to do personally for your husband up till now even with a large retinue of staff? I still cook for my husband; you remember I went to the market the other day to buy things for myself. I was at the Utako Market to buy foodstuff and soup ingredients. This is one thing I enjoy doing. I will prefer to go to the market by myself if I have the opportunity. It is my primary role as a mother and as a wife. There are dishes that my husband prefers which only I can prepare for him. Is it possible for both of you to still find quality time to spend together especially with such bulging schedules because as they say, politicians never sleep? I married my husband before he became the President. We still live our life the way we started.So,I do not allow the office to come between us. Don’t forget he has been in politics for a while now, and we have been together since. We blend perfectly between demands of office and family. None interferes with the other. He also is the type of man who thrives on mental stimulation so you have to be at par with him at all times. And also he likes his breathing space, which is healthy for most couples as it is good for each person to have their own individuality even though they are one in marriage and spirit. Plenty of confidence and trust also required in every partnership.Which,I am pleased to say, we have both built and earned over the years, He is naturally not an outgoing man, because we are each other’s friends and soulmates,we find time to discuss everything that comes up and advise each other accordingly, I believe that we strongly complement each other deeply even if we have our flaws like every human beings. Nobody is perfect as you know but understanding, love patience with God’s blessings and prayers conquer all and we are conscious of the fact that after office, the family continues.

“People have insinuated all kinds of things and read numerous meaning to what was nothing but an innocuous picture taken of me and a member of my new management team at the Grammys. The picture was an innocent one, signifying nothing.


I have been married to my husband for 15 years now, and I say this loud and clear that I have never cheated on him, and would never do so ever! Remember I said in an interview I granted you in 2009, that yes, I have been tempted numerous times to violate my marital vows, but I have always resisted the temptation to do anything that would bring dishonor to my marriage and my children. If I told you – as a popular actress that we have not been tempted, I would be lying to you. But should one sacrifice all what one has built, nurtured and worked hard to establish just because you want to indulge in some ill-motivated affair? No. I don’t believe in that. I count myself blessed to have married a perfect gentleman, a man who has supported me throughout my years in the industry, and is still there, as a rock of Gibraltar. My husband is a rare find, and no amount of temptation will ever make me cheat on him.


So the notion or the rumor that my haters and nay Sayers have spread to the effect that the guy at the Grammys was my boyfriend, is ludicrous to say the least. If I wanted to cheat on my husband, would I do that in the open? Would I advertise my boyfriend for everyone to see and at such a public function? Just analyze that logically – would that be a commonsensical thing to do?


This rumor is really a sick one and I’m offended. My husband is my soul-mate and I will never soil or put that trust in jeopardy – no matter what and the extent of the temptation. It is not worth it.”

Professional model Vimbai is not just a pretty face – the young lady from Harare has a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and speaks 4 languages – English, Shona, French and Basic Serbian.

Vimbai's favourite place in Zimbabwe is Nyanga in the Eastern Highlands, because "it's a fresh, peaceful place with plenty of great hotels, spas and golf courses".

She says the best thing about her country is the people: "we have been through ups and downs, yet every Zimbabwean still makes it through the day with a positive attitude and a smile".

She entered Big Brother Amplified to re-launch a new modeling and entertainment career for herself on an African platform, and if she wins the show, she'll invest her winnings in her country and donate some to charity.
