12. He zones out when you"re talking to him because he can"t be bothered to focus on anything outside himself for more than 30 seconds at a time.

14. He fixates on how he"s perceived by your friends and family, whether they like him, what they say about him, what they think of him.

27. He fishes for info on how much money your ex boyfriends made.

Top Ten African Models
The Super Woman: Liya Kebede

People toss the word “supermodel” around flippantly, but true “supers” boast an enviable resume that includes covers, contracts, and campaigns—coupled with the honor of opening and closing key runway shows. Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede has done it all from covering Vogue, Essence, Harper’s Bazaar, and i-D to starring in campaigns for Gap, Lord & Taylor, and Ann Taylor, plus nabbing a lucrative Estee Lauder contract. She is now the face of L’Oreal, and in ’08 earned a Forbes shout-out as the 15th highest-paid model. The former face of Yves Saint Laurent, she has also represented the World Health Organization as a Goodwill Ambassador. Kebede continues to model even as she runs her eponymous foundation and pursues a career in acting. Her onscreen credits include cameos in The Good Shepherd and Lord of War. Most recently she starred in Desert Flower, a biopic based on the memoir of fellow African model, Waris Dirie.
The Standout Star: Ajak

Angelique Deng, 21, who goes by Ajak, survived the emotional upheaval of leaving her home in Tonj, Southern Sudan at just 12 for a refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya. Ultimately, she moved to Australia where she was discovered. Catwalking toward “super” status, Ajak has signed a contract to become a face of Benetton, has scored editorials in Vogue and fashion insider mag i-D, and has enjoyed the prestigious honor of closing the Spring 2011 Lanvin show. Fashion editor Zandile Blay credits Ajak’s standout status to the model’s decision to die her hair blonde. “She’s since dyed her hair back,” Blay points out, [but], I think for a fraction of a second, it shone a light—literally—on her"
The Unsung One: Georgie Badiel

Christened “Gorgeous Georgie” by Models.com, Badiel, 23, was discovered in her native Burkina Faso. She has since smoldered in editorials inVogue Russia, Interview, Arise and Elle. She’s stomped the prestigious runways of Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, and Tracy Reese, even closing shows for Halston, Phillip Lim and Chado Ralph Rucci. So why hasn’t this girl graced a cover yet? Badiel takes an admirably humble stance on the subject, telling former model turned activist Bethann Hardison, “If the job is mine, it’s mine—nobody will take it from my hand.” She adds of her job: “How lucky I am to show how a woman can be like—elegant and chic.” A great attitude for a gorgeous girl.
The Moneymaker: Nina Keita

In modeling, repping a brand is where the money and longevity is. So when Nina Keita landed the plum gig of starring in Old Navy’s spring 2007 campaign—her face being beamed across America and Europe in the brand’s infectious commercials—she was instantly catapulted into an elite club of models. She is so valuable to bookers, the Ivorian was allegedly poached from her old agency, Wilhelmina Models, by her new agency Next—eliciting a lawsuit between the two firms. While the agencies duke it out, Nina continues to “smile” all the way to the bank.
The Professional: Gelila Bekele

Discovered two months into her freshman year at UC Berkley, the Ethiopian model fell into modeling with some trepidation. “I come from an environment where my parents are educated so the idea of using my physical to make a living messed with my head a bit,” admits Bekele. The Ford Model, who has appeared in a Pantene Pro-V campaign, and leveraged her status as an international ambassador for aid organization Charity: Water, has since come around. “Models are not dumb. It’s self-management and brand-building.”
The Boss: Oluchi Onweagba

Since winning the premiere 1998 “Face of Africa” competition sponsored by African cable giant M-NET, the Nigerian has gone on to hit pretty much every high a model aspires to. Cosmetics contract/ad campaign? Check. Onweagba was a CoverGirl — and has appeared in campaigns for L’Oreal, Gap, and Macy’s. Vogue cover? Check — she’s fronted Vogue Italia. Appearance in SI Swimsuit Issue/Victoria’s Secret Show? Check. Check. Now married to designer Luca Orlandi and mother to their son, Onweagba still works the runways, but her focus is on the next generation. Having launched O Model Management in South Africa, Onweagba told Modelinia.com: “I wanted to do more than the usual charity. I wanted to empower young adult women to make a living at an early age, so they can have a voice of their own even if they do not make it to the Western countries like I did.” Zandile Bay admires her for “being an advocate for the rise of the modeling and fashion industry in her native Nigeria.”
The Sophisticate: Ubah Hassan

The 24-year-old Somali gained international attention four years ago when Ralph Lauren chose her to be the face of his brand. Since then, she’s covered Arise Magazine, appeared in Vogue Italia’s groundbreaking black issue, and walked for Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Roy, and Ralph Rucci. Explaining her passion to Bethann Hardison, Hassan said, “Everything I do in my life, I do 100% no matter if I’m babysitting, or I’m walking in someone’s fashions.”
The Heir Apparent: Ataui Deng

In the space of three years, Ataui Deng, seems poised to catwalk in the footsteps of her supermodel auntie, Alek Wek. At just 19, the rising star has walked for Zac Posen, Sophie Theallet, and Malandrino. Her model book contains editorial tearsheets from Teen Vogue, V, and Harper’s Bazaar — including a cover of insider magazine Lurve.
The One to Watch: Kinée Diouf

The Senegalese model made her debut stomping the runway for Givenchy and Vivienne Westwood—an auspicious start the model quickly followed with a Benetton campaign, editorials in high fashion pubs V and W, and later a WWD shout-out. Diouf has since appeared in an ad campaign for Diesel, in the pages of British and German Vogue, and on the cover of supermodel launch pad pub French Revue des Modes. And she is just getting started.
The Super-in-Training: Nyasha Matonhodze

Discovered in 2009, the Zimbabwe-born, Britain-raised model was introduced to the world on London’s catwalks, sashaying for Jonathan Saunders, Emanuel Ungaro, and Louis Vuitton, among others. Just two years later, now 16, Nyasha has racked up editorial tearsheets in Harper’s Bazaar, V, and Teen Vogue. Amazingly, she has just been announced as a face of Louis Vuitton. Look for her in the brand’s fall campaign, which will be shot by star maker Steven Meisel.
The Game Changer: Alek Wek

Sudan’s Alek Wek wasn’t just a model when she hit the scene in ’95. She was a movement. With her obsidian complexion and close-cropped natural hair, she looked nothing like successful contemporary Americans Beverly Peele or Veronica Webb, or Ugandan Kiara Kabukuru. This is what influencers in the industry loved about her. At the very top of her career, MTV named her Model of the Year, i-D named her Model of the Decade, and People christened her one of the world’s 50 Most Beautiful People. The effusive accolades continued in the form of Vogue, Essence and Elle covers. At key fashion shows, Wek opened and closed for Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Diane von Furstenberg, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others. The 33-year-old has since launched a handbag line and penned a memoir, and shows no sign of slowing down. Wek last shot with photographer Matthew Stone for the Summer 2011 issue of i-D. Fashion writer Blay points out, “The African models we see gracing the runways now are all variations of Wek and her bold, refreshing, ideal-shattering brand of beauty.” We salute them all for breaking barriers in the field of fashion.

Compliments Every Woman Loves To Hear
Words of appreciation spoken directly to your romantic partner go far in paving the way to a happy, healthy relationship. What is sometimes too easily forgotten: disagreements among couples (from trifling to serious) can nearly always be overcome with a few words of gratitude from a partner (a.k.a., a healthy dose of authentic compliments). But it takes more than a "Hey Baby, you"re hot" to really win points with your partner here. These are the top five compliments every woman loves to hear. If you can"t remember the words verbatim, remember the key principles: appreciation, support and acceptance. This is the triage to a strong, lasting and powerful romantic endeavor.
1.You"re Irreplaceable. This is a surefire way to light up your partners eyes. Saying these words (with full eye contact, of course) lets the special one in your life know that you know who she is as a person and that you value her as a unique individual. Why is this so effective? Think about when you break up with someone and part ways. One of the worst ramifications of the break-up is finding out, via Facebook update or chattering among friends, that you"ve been replaced by someone new. On the flip side, hearing from your current partner that you"re valued for more than what you look like scores big, meaningful points.
2. You bring light to my life. Yes, we know this sounds like a bit much. But bear with us and let us make one point: relationships can go off course when one or both partners takes for granted the contributions the other makes to their lives. Saying this shows that a man understands and remembers that a women chooses to be with her man and opts to give her energy and time to him. Showing he appreciates that she shares her life with him is symphonic to a woman"s ears. If the word light is a tad too over-the-top for you try replacing it with happiness, joy, sunshinewhichever word you can say with genuine meaning.
3. You are perfect just the way that you are. This one takes the gold star award for ability to make a womans day, week, month or even year (if, that is, whenever she gets miffed at you for something small she recalls you saying this to her). Ingrid Michaelson sang it best with her lyrics to the song "The Way that I Am." If you really want to make your partner"s day, we suggest e-mailing this song or youtube video to the woman you love. Deep, lasting love is unconditional. Showing that you comprehend and embrace this idea will touch your partner way more than superficial comments such as, "Your earrings are cute." Dating A Golddigger
4. I love your (fill in the blank: bright eyes, cute toes, toned arms, sleek legs, silky hair). We did not mean to give the impression above that we women do not like to hear you notice when we put extra effort into looking foxy for our man. But whats key here is that what you say is genuine. Dont just pick any random feature. Think about it. What is your partners best physical attribute and why do you like it? Telling your partner this will show her you pay attention to details, and to her.
5. I am so proud of you. A big deal-breaker in any relationship can be supporting one anothers life goals or not. Paying attention to your partners current goals she is working hard to achieve endear her to you for life. Whether it is paying off her credit card debt, completing a class, putting in extra hours to earn a promotion or even trying to better balance her life, show your loving support for your women. Her heart will melt then and every time thereafter she remembers when you supported along the way to making things happen and brushing off when the chips are down.

Blackberry Rules
It's safe to say that almost everyone reading this is familiar with what that word above means... and if you aren’t… welcome to Earth! The Blackberry is one of the most common and most used communication devices today among young people. I love Apple as much as anyone, but let's not even get into the #teamiPhone versus #teamBlackberry debate. Until you can BBM with an iPhone, we're not hearing it (and please don’t bring up the whole whatsapp thing).
This post is mainly directed at BB users across the globe. I think the time has come for us to establish a simple set of rules for people who choose to use this device (I'm sure some of these rules will not work only for BB's. Feel free to use where applicable for any other smartphones).
1) Broadcast Messages - I figure we should start here because this might be the singular MOST ABUSED feature on the Blackberry device. Ladies and gentlemen, there's an occasional need to Broadcast a message to some or all of your contacts... however I must stress the word OCCASIONAL. It is supposed to be used sparingly, and only when it is important; infact, let's break broadcast messages into three permission-categories. Yes, No and Maybe.
YES: Broadcast Messages that are permissible SPARINGLY, include (but are not limited to) the following contexts: “Please check out my business/website/Product”, “Vote for someone for this competition”, and the occasional Breaking News Fact that you need to share (but which you have verified) e.g. the Deaths of Michael Jackson and Da Grin. RIP.
NO:
Spam –
You should have to be smart to own a smart phone. For goodness sake, I beseech you to realize once and for all, that you pay a certain amount of money for BB service every month. Please note, this is ALL you will EVER have to do to show the Blackberry server you are active. I must emphasize that THERE WILL NEVER BE A MESSAGE THAT YOU MUST SEND TO ALL YOUR CONTACTS OR RISK DELETION. EVER. EVER. EVER. Every couple of months, the same stupid spam resurfaces, and the same people fall for it over and over again. This nonsense must stop.
Religious (or superstitious) Threats – “Forward this message to 10 people or else blah blah blah”.
Random greetings like “happy Sunday”, “happy New Month”, “Happy Monday”, “Goodmorning everyone”, etc. While we can appreciate that most of these have good intentions, they generally just come across as annoying. You don’t walk into a building and yell Happy Sunday/Goodmorning/etc on a loudspeaker to every occupant. The same principles should be applied the next time you have that urge to broadcast this.
Random facts about your day like “I’m about to board a plane”, “Just waiting for take off”, “Just Landed”, “About to have lunch”, “what Movie should I watch?”, etc. I shouldn’t have to explain this. Just stop.
SERIAL BROADCASTING: please note that sending one broadcast per day is too much, even if it falls under the YES category. A couple per week is plenty. No matter how important the message is to you, the chances that we want a broadcast from you every hour, or every day, are slim to none. Again, you just come off as annoying. Failure to adhere to this can and will result in your being deleted.
MAYBE:
Musicians, Managers and their Entourages: It’s okay to send a broadcast message every once in a while about your new single/album/video. It’s NOT okay to send one every time the song is playing on Radio, or the Video is on TV. It’s also not okay to abuse the privilege by sending the same messages repeatedly in a short amount of time. One or two is enough. Trust me we saw it the first time.
The occasional Joke that is REALLY funny. The danger with Jokes is that these days, many people have MANY contacts. So when you get the same joke 5 or 10 or 50 times, it’s annoying. So whatever joke you choose to share, please make sure it’s original, relatively new, or so damn hilarious that we won’t mind seeing it repeatedly.
Traffic or Emergency Alerts: These are always sent with good intentions, so we appreciate the thoughts behind them. However, too many times, there are no quantifiable measures in the messages, so they become spam. For instance, if there is a major roadblock (or an emergency situation), please also include the DATE AND TIME that this is occurring. I’ve gotten the same traffic/armed-robbery alerts for a week from different contacts… it’s either people are just resending the same messages days after the unfortunate incident occurred, or we’re witnessing record breaking traffic/robbery times. No armed robbery lasts for a week. Even Anini wasn’t that brave (inside joke to my Nigerian Friends).
2) Display Names
Your display name is totally under your control; feel free to call yourself whatever you like; it is your right as a blackberry owner. However, please be considerate of some of us who are trying to get a hold of you, but do not realize you’ve now spelt your name in Arabian or Greek Symbols. Some of us have a lot of contacts, and it’s really annoying when we’re trying to find you, only to discover you’ve changed your display name from.. say… Jane… to Jane spelt in Chinese, or “My luvlies”, or “a woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets – Mexico – madly in luv”. Henceforth, please try to ensure that your display name at least contains the name we know you by, in some form that is type-able when we try to search for you. Please note that the examples I listed above are actually 100% real, I did not make them up. Also, we realize that everyone can re-name contacts; but we shouldn’t have to do it just to keep track of you. Afterall, it’s just easier to delete your over-expressive self.
3) BBM Add Requests
The BBMessenger should not be mistaken for Facebook/Myspace/Twitter. Your BB Pin is actually specific to your phone, and thus should be viewed more like a phone number. It is private and should only be given out with your consent. You also probably shouldn’t attempt to add people who don’t know you and haven’t directly given you permission to. If you’re interested in someone, it’s always better to get their phone number directly from said-person, rather than to stumble on it somehow and call them out of the blue. The same principles should be applied with Pin Sharing.
4) Contact Deletion
People delete contacts for a bunch of reasons. Maybe they have too many contacts and are trying to clear space by removing people they don’t keep in touch with. Maybe they are tired of the 5,000 broadcast messages you send per week. Maybe they just don’t want too many people, or just you specifically, on their BB anymore. It’s okay to delete, and to be deleted. Times change; contact lists do as well. NO harm, no foul. There are many more people to chat with.
5) PING’s!!!
A conversation should NEVER be started with a PING!!! It is supposed to be used as a tool to gain attention when someone is not reading his/her messages. The proper protocol is to send one or two messages and THEN PING when your messages have not been read. Not the other way around. I realize this might not be a big deal to everyone, but it’s just… chat courtesy… if you will. It’s like typing in CAPS LOCK. It just feels like you’re shouting on line. Not necessary, and annoying.
There are many more rules we can add, and we may choose to revise this list as time goes on, but hopefully this is a good start to a more pleasurable experience for us all. Please spread the word. And Delete a Serial Broadcaster today.
Reasons why people Cheat
1. Bored
I"d say this is the most common reason that people cheat. It"s tough to keep that edge throughout a relationship. Things start off grand and then level off and then you both realize that it"s still real life. When you meet someone else, that inaugural excitement of a new relationship kicks back in.
2. Dependence
At first glance, cheating seems like independent behavior. It could be interpreted as doing what you want, when you want. But I would argue that cheating is a dependent behavior. A cheater is dependent because they are not strong enough to break up with their significant other in order to get with the new person.
3. Confusion
Sometimes life or a particular situation can get to you. When the perfect storm of confusion is going on in your head, you make mistakes.
4. Because They Let You
If any girl ever cheated on me, I"d break up with her immediately. Forgiving a cheater is putting up with it, and starts a vicious cycle. That person who cheated may lose respect for you and might continue to cheat-because they know they can get away with it, because you"ll continue to take them back.
5. Nurturing
If someone is mistreating you, then your first instinct is to get away from him or her. But sometimes it"s not that simple-maybe you are raising kids together. If you feel trapped in a bad relationship, it"s only natural that you will run to the open arms of a person who treats you well.
6. Revenge
This is quite simple- an eye for an eye. Cheat on them if they cheat on you. If they continuously hurt you or abuse you in some way, you do it to get them back.
7. Confirmation of Attractiveness
Sometimes when you"re in a long relationship, or if your significant other is taking you for granted, you begin to wonder if you"re still attractive. Perhaps, because you were out on the dating circuit, you felt more attractive when you were single. If you have an affair, you"ve proven that a new person can be attracted to you.
8. The Thrill
Some people just enjoy the thrill of cheating: running around secretly, risking getting caught, andcreating thrilling moments with a forbidden romance.
9. They Don"t Consider It Cheating, Even Though You Might
Relationships have that grey area, usually right before you become exclusive. He thinks date #4 is when you"re "together," and you think date #2 is when you"re "together." If you haven"t talked about exclusivity, someone may think they are well within their rights to see other people, even though the other person in the relationship may not.
I don"t understand why people don"t break up as soon as they have an urge to cheat. Is it natural to have temptation, or is temptation a sign that the relationship is losing its fire? What reasons would you add to this list, and do you disagree with any? If you"ve ever cheated, why did you do it? Could you forgive a cheater? If you are single, but seeing a person who is in a committed relationship, does that make you a cheater?

In Aba A boy kill his friend toasting his girlfriend
The trio of Miracle Onyedikachi, 21; Chiebuka Onuoha, 20; and Udochukwu Ogbonna, 22, were best of friends as they lived together in the same vicinity. They had come to know each other as they grew up in the neighbourhood and their friendship blossomed. As peers, they almost always went out together and did things in common. That was how strong the bond of friendship that held them together remained until Saturday, May 21. On that fateful day, as Onyedikachi set out with Onuoha to see one of their friends in Umuogele, a suburb of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, little did he know he would never come back home alive. Even if he had had a premonition of any danger lurking, he may not have probably thought it would be in the mould of meeting his end more so in the hand of his friend. As they moved along, chatting away in the ecstasy of the moment, they never knew that man’s common foe, danger was hanging around few meters away. Daily Sun gathered that moments after the duo set out in their journey, Onuoha saw a girl he had known for some time. He beckoned on her and they engaged in discussions. As they stood by the road side chatting, another young man said to be one of their friends and identified as Udochukwu Ogbonna, emerged from nowhere, clinching an empty bottle in his right hand. That marked the genesis of the trouble which ultimately consumed Onyedikachi and resulted in the razing down of a building where the suspect and his mother lived. As he approached towards the direction of Onuoha and the girl, according to our source, Ogbonna allegedly broke the bottle in his hand and without asking questions, began to stab the former, muttering words that he had warned him (Onuoha) severally to stay away from the girl whose identity is yet to be ascertained. It was also gathered that immediately the deceased who stood at a close distance waiting for Onuoha to end his discussion with the girl so that they could proceed to where they were going to, saw what happened and how blood was gushing out of his friend’s body, rushed to intervene and that landed him too into trouble. Our source further hinted that as soon as he rushed to ask Ogbonna why he took the action and to prevent him from stabbing Onuoha to death, he allegedly bounced on him and gave him more deadly stabs within the region of the neck and he fell down instantly. Onyedikachi did not die immediately. He was said to have managed to crawl to a nearby private hospital on Ohanku road within the precincts of the incident, screaming for medical attention. His cries to be attended to in order to save his live fell on deaf ears as the doctor and nurses on duty threw professionalism to the winds and insisted on some amount of money being deposited first before he could be treated. Onyedikachi in the unfortunate state he found himself died moments later in the pool of his own blood inside the hospital premises. Some youths who witnessed what happened, apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police at Ndiegoro Police station where the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr. Joshua Bakyu ordered for his detention and directed his men to carry out thorough investigation on the matter. Ogbonna is believed to have been moved to Umuahia for further interrogation. He was said to have told the police that it was better he was killed as he was no longer enjoying his life. The matter did not end there; Onyedikachi’s death triggered off a chain reaction which rendered over eight families homeless and property worth over N100 million destroyed. Immediately the news of the death of the young man spread to the neighbourhood, an angry mob believed to be his kinsmen living in Aba mobilized themselves for a revenge mission. The mob headed to No. 10 Nworgu Domiri Street by Ohanku Road owned by one Prince Joshua and where Ogbonna and his mother were said to be living. They pulled down the building which cost was put at over N100 million and set it ablaze. The Police at Ndiegoro were, however, said to be on the trail of the arsonists. Daily Sun was informed that this was not the first time people from a particular community in Ebonyi State resident in the Aba would take the laws into their hands by vandalizing, pulling down and setting buildings ablaze where persons they believed that caused the death of one of their own live in revenge. Meanwhile, Onuoha who was said to have survived the attack is now recuperating in a private hospital in the city while the body of his late friend, Onyedikachi was deposited in a private mortuary. | ||||

Why we ran to Pastor Adeboye
Last Sunday, many actors and actresses trooped to Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to receive prayers from the man of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
we gathered that most of the actors were scared stiff going by the recurrence of death in their industry. As such, they rushed to the church for the man of God to pray for them.
However, when we called the Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Segun Arinze, who was also among the actors that went for the service, he said the church organised a programme for actors and they had to be there.
“I enjoyed myself spiritually. It was a wonderful thing. It is good for the industry. It is not everyday that a man of God wakes up and decides to pray for our industry. It is a sign of better things to come. I don’t think it is anything bad for us entertainers to be prayed for,” he said. Among those, that went for the service were Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule and Iya Rainbow.
Anyway, nobody should really blame the actors who have suddenly sought refuge in God. The industry has lost notable practitioners in a short while, the most recent being Ashley Nwosu.
Nigerian Boy Dies In Sleep After Beating Mother
Homicide detectives have commenced investigations into the death of one Ngozi Onyii Onuneme from Ogiri, Isiala Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
Vanguard gathered from a villager, who pleaded anonymity, that trouble started when the deceased had an argument with his mother, Mrs. Gladys Onuneme, who wanted to know why he had injured some other person.
According to the eyewitness, “the argument eventually snowballed into Ngozi beating up his mother.”

The source told Vanguard that on hearing the agonising cry of his mother, Ngozi’s elder brother came out, rescued his mother and, thereafter, beat up the “unruly boy”.
Continuing, the villager said Ngozi sustained injuries but was not treated before he went to bed, adding that the family woke up the next morning to behold the lifeless body of the young man.
Spirited efforts to get the Police to comment on the incident failed as the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, neither picked his calls nor responded to the text message sent to him.

Ghanaian Mother Smashes Daughter’s Head With Hammer
A 36-YEAR-OLD nursing mother has found herself in the grips of the Nungua Police for smashing her 15-year-old daughter’s head with a hammer for disobeying her. The suspect, Juliet Aboagyewaa, who resides at Nungua with her husband and four children, was said to have left the other three children in the care of the victim when she went to visit her sister. She however returned home only to realize that the victim was not at home and this made her angry. When the 15-year-old returned home, the mother started beating her up and hit the head with a hammer. Immediately the mother saw that the daughter was bleeding, she stopped and went to bed without attending to her. The victim was said to have been bleeding uncontrollably when she arrived at the police station. Information gathered indicated that the victim’s biological father travelled when she was still a baby and never returned to her or the mother. Speaking to Daily Guide, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Margaret S. Agbemabiese, who is the Head of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, said on June 19, the victim, accompanied by two other persons, reported at the DOVVSU office with blood oozing out from a deep cut on her head. The victim reported that her own mother, at about 9:00pm that same day, had hit her several times on the head with a hammer, without any provocation. Due to the gravity of the victim’s condition, the police went with her to the house to get someone to quickly take her to the hospital. When they got to the house however, the mother was fast asleep. ASP Agbemabiese noted that when they woke the mother up, she told the police that she only beat the victim for defying her orders, but denied using a hammer. The mother was arrested while the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. ASP Agbemabiese added that the mother, because of her daughter’s condition, was later released to go to the hospital to take care of the victim. She was however rearrested when the victim was released from the hospital. In an interview with the accused, she said she did not use a hammer but beat the victim and hit her head on the wall because she was very angry at her daughter for disobeying her. She added that she suspected that the victim had gone to see her boyfriend because her other children had told her that the 15-year-old left the house immediately after she left for her sister’s. She explained that she only wanted to prevent her daughter from getting pregnant. Speaking to the victim, she noted that she did not have a boyfriend and that she went to the wash room, only to return to find out that one of her siblings had also left the house. Suspecting that the sibling had gone to a party nearby, she decided to go after her as she did not want her mother to get angry upon returning home. However, she got back home only to realize that both her sister and mother had returned. The victim stated that the mother had locked the main gate so she sat outside for some time until the accused finally opened the gate and started hitting her on the knee, shoulder, and then finally on the head with the hammer, adding that when the accused saw her bleeding, she stopped and went to bed.
6 Traits That Men Find Sexy
#1 Miss Approachable
This woman is sexy because while she may not be outstandingly beautiful and have men flocking around her, she has her own charming aura. It’s not that she isn’t pretty, just that she’s more casual with the way she carries herself and the way she dresses. This makes it easier for a man to approach her, as men often steer away from approaching super model types for fear of intimidation or rejection. The casual girl might reject men as well, but she’s still more approachable.
#2 The Girl Next Door
This woman knows how to be one of the guys, clown around, play video games and hold her own in a paintball fight, but she always reminds her male counterparts that she is still a woman and is feminine in her own way. She has a cool personality and is open minded about most things. She radiates sex appeal.
#3 Drive On
A woman who enjoys sex and who has a high sex drive is sexy to men. It’s also sexy to men when a woman knows her body, how it works and how to enjoy herself in the bedroom.
#4 Clean and Fresh
A woman who takes care of herself—such as brushes her teeth, combs knots out of her hair, cleans her nails and performs other self-care tactics is sexy to a man. Men love a woman who takes the time to smell and look great, just not two hours of time before going out. Go figure.
#5 Confidence is Key
Women who hold their head up high and portray confidence are always sexy to a man. If a woman knows what she wants and makes plans to go for her goals, this is sexy too. Last but not least, a woman who shows confidence in the bedroom is a keeper to most men.
#6 If She Only Had a Brain…
A woman who uses her brain is sexy to a man. Smart women stay in relationships longer because they are valued for the intellectual conversation they can bring to the table. What man wants to hear about “all-things-girly” when he can speak to his gal about travels, world politics or foreign film debuts?

Church bans chieftaincy titles, wedding for pregnant women
Umuahia – The Diocese of Amichi, Anglican Communion, has banned new couples from celebrating church wedding before their traditional engagement.
Couples in Igboland often fixed both church and traditional weddings on the same day to save cost. But the Bishop of the Diocese in Anambra State, Rt. Rev. Ephraim Ikeakor, disagreed with the arrangement, and banned the practise.
Ikeakor, who also banned wedding celebration for pregnant ladies, also declared as unacceptable the conferment on its members with Ozo title, especially those already admitted into Knighthood.

Bishop Ikeakor, who announced these measures at the 3rd Session of the First Synod of the Diocese at Unubi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, also banned its members from collecting goods on credit on behalf of the church during harvest ceremonies as well as shooting of dane guns during burial and funeral rites.
He said: "It is becoming almost a tradition for church members to come early in the morning for church wedding and, thereafter, in the evening go for traditional marriage ceremony. This is unacceptable in this Diocese.
"The church should be the last port of call for any marriage involving our members. No clergy man in this Diocese should be involved in conducting church wedding before traditional marriage.
We have also observed with shame and dismay the and ungodly practise of conducting weddings for pregnant ladies in our churches. This is both unChristian and un-Anglican.
"We will no longer allow the unregenerate members of our church to set some unwholesome precedence and standard in the Church.
"In as much as we thank God for the gift of pregnancy, we ought not to put the cart before the horse."
